The CQD® Mark I Special Operations Tactical Folder
is now standard issue equipment for many of the finest law enforcement and
military operators in the world. It also won the coveted American-Made Knife-of-the-Year
Award at the international Blade Show in 2000, an award voted on by the
manufacturing community itself.
Now a smaller and equally versatile version, the
Mark II Stealth Folder, is available for less conspicuous carry applications.
A slightly leaner modified spear point blade exudes a sense of purpose.
At 7.95 inches overall length, the Mark II Stealth Folder is rock solid
but lightweight with many of the same features as its big brother. The
plunge-lock system, secondary lock, vents, wing-walk inserts and excellent
ergonomics are all retained. A carbide tip window breaker is machined
into the butt of the knife, replacing the ATAC Support Blade. The CQD®
Mark II Stealth Folder is a lean, tough, effective piece of equipment
designed for comfortable, concealed carry.
Plunge Lock – Proprietary
locking mechanism - cross-hatched surface - Positioning
and function ensures the operator’s fingers are clear
of the blade path when closing the knife - allows a safe, secure
grip on knife while closing – allows quick closing
under stress without requiring great dexterity – raised
area around push button lock helps prevent accidental contact
and subsequent disengagement of the blade lock – audible
lock indicator – deliberate lock release
Secondary Slide Safety Lock
– Prevents blade from closing if primary lock button
is pushed unintentionally – slide ridge ensures deliberate
activation and deactivation of the lock – provides
quick index point to insure lock is on or off – ensures
blade stays in open position for hard or extended use –
audible click to ensure secondary lock is engaged or disengaged
Dieter Side Hilt™
- stops thumb and grip from moving forward over hilt and
onto blade – provides pressure and striking point
– enables greater control of blade for specialized
cuts – provides control to use side of blade rather
than cutting edge – serves as a retraction support
– helps protect user’s grip from adversary’s
weapon or obstructions – assists initial access of
knife – enhances ability to control penetration depths
of blade – acts as a pressure stop (contact point)
when attaching the knife to a staff to make a spear–
utilized as a snap-over lock retention system for sheath
– utilized for pressure point and/or striking device.
Modified spear-point broadening
blade – for greater strength and penetration
capabilities.
Grip Seal™ System
– 4-way expansive hilt, hilt traction ribs, knurled
grips, finger grooves and “wing-walk” surfaces
provide a sure and safe grip under any conditions and improve
performance - handle has contrasting surface levels with
anti-slip grip inserts and milled vents for lighter weight
& cleaning ease
Extended pommel –
Utilized for pressure points and strikes – helps protect
median nerve and wrist
Expanded hilt - Every
CQD® knife has a larger-than-normal hilt area to better
protect the users hand from impact and to improve the users
control of the knife. The expanded hilt offers increased
pressure point and striking capabilities.
Non-reflective, resilient finish
– strongest and most durable finish available, will
stand up to years of aggressive training and hard use in
the field or on the street– subdued finish (black
or sliver) to prevent unwanted reflection
Carbide Window Breacher -
This ingenious feature allows the user to break glass windows
with ease such as in cases of emergency extraction from
vehicles or other operational situations. It can also be
used to augment pressure point control techniques, for limited
penetration and for etching.
Super-sharp blade serrations
– optional on all CQD® knives, serrations on half
of blade maximize cutting ability through rope, straps,
etc.
Double-edged blade –
The bottom (main) edge of the knife is refined and very
sharp for general cutting while the top edge is intentionally
shaped to provide a limited cutting capability while providing
greater force/pressure capabilities from the edge without
causing unintentional cutting. The top edge is designed
to cut soft, vital areas of the body. The bottom edge provides
deeper penetration, swift and balanced cuts and maintains
knife velocity. If needed, the knife has true bi-directional
cutting capabilities. CQD® folding knives have been
designed (through careful selection of top-edge angle) not
to cut operators who choose to close the folders with his
or her hands and come available in single-edged blade versions.
Automatic-opening models
- feature coil spring button lock with safety - available
for military and law enforcement personnel. The double-
edged blade feature is not available on the MK-II Automatic
opening models.
Soft Nylon sheath (standard)
